This is part two of our conversation with Greene County High School boys’ head track & field coach Chad Morton. The coach talks about his goals for the athletes. “Well, one thing is to just be able to control what we can control. With the weather, competition, being healthy, being sick, all things out of our control. What we can control is our work ethic and our attitude. We’d also like to see the kids get a little more comfortable outside their comfort zone. Being able to be pushed farther than they thought they could get. We’d like our kids to understand those things, enjoy what they’re doing, participate as a team, and get better individually.”

The Greene County girls open up indoors on Monday, March 4 at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. The Greene County boys compete inside the UNI-Dome on Tuesday, March 5.
