An improved defensive output helped the Panorama Panthers varsity boys basketball team to more success this winter. The Panthers allowed 51 points per contest during this year’s 13-11 campaign compared to yielding nearly 56 points a game during a 6-16 finish during the 2017-18 season. The Panorma boys basketball team held four opponents below 40 points this winter. Two of those contests came during the Panthers’ district playoff run, defeating West Central Valley (70-33) and Woodward-Granger (54-36) on back-to-back nights to qualify for the Class 2A District 13 championship game. The Panthers season ended in the title game against West Central Activities Conference member Des Moines Christian, 58-29. The Panthers graduate Trey Cobb and Gracen Welburg from the program this May.
