Spearheading the share the sugar campaign this winter for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity boys basketball team was the passing of sophomore point guard Nate Mueller. Mueller dished out a team-best 112 assists this winter, 71 more than any other ADM player. His top passing game came on December 11 against Carlisle, registering 10 assists in a 66-60 victory over the Wildcats in Adel. Mueller equaled 2016 graduate Payton Conrad assist mark from two seasons ago, but fell 22 assists short of 2011 graduate Spencer Cook’s mark of 134 dimes during the 2009-2010 season. Three other ADM varsity boys basketball players produced 40 or more assists this winter including junior Jaxson Milsap (41), junior Nate Conrad (40) and sophomore Tate Stine-Smith (40). The ADM Tigers boys basketball team, who ranked last in the Raccoon River Conference with 200 assists during the 2017-18 season, produced 353 assists this winter. ADM closed the 2018-19 season with a 13-10 overall record, a ten win improvement from last season. ADM graduates five players from this year’s program including Nick Bradshaw, Wes Evers, Joe Finnegan, Koby Hardcastle, and Lucas Heitz.
