Tuesday, February 19th

9:00am: The Ottawa, Ill. PD requested assistance from a Jefferson officer in locating a vehicle in Jefferson that had been involved in a Hit & Run Accident in their city. The officer is working to locate the vehicle and owner.

9:30am: The Greene County High School requested owner information on a vehicle that has been parked in the parking lot for an extended period of time, making snow removal difficult. The officer provided the information.

9:48am: An officer checked on an Alarm Activation at 302 Deer Run and located a family member checking on the residence. All was fine.

10:45am: Traci Ferguson reported a male and female going house to house near 1107 North Maple Street asking if anyone had a vehicle for sale. The officer did not locate the subjects in the area.

2:15pm: A Traffic Stop in the 600 Block of East Lincoln Way resulted in Dwight Mount of Grand Junction being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

6:14pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 800 Block of North Elm Street resulted in David Smith of Des Moines being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

7:49pm: An officer located a vehicle parked at 777 Wild Rose Lane, who’s registration had expired in 2015. The owner of the vehicle was located inside the Casino. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Douglas Duane Owen, 36 of Churdan for, “Driving While Barred – Aggravated.”

10:35pm: Alan Jensen reported a subject going through parked vehicles in the 500 Block of South Olive Street. The officers and a deputy combed the area, but did not locate anyone.

******** Officers issued (3) “Snow Emergency Parking Violations” during the reporting period.
