Just one week after the large group speech all-state festival wrapped up, it will be the individual speech contest season.
The Iowa High School Speech Association District Individual Contest will take place this Saturday. Greene County High School Speech Coach Kelley Gray says they will have 14 students performing with a total of 20 entries. Paton-Churdan Speech Coach Stephanie Pace says there will be ten students performing a total of 15 entries at Saturday’s contest. Both schools will travel to Adel-DeSoto-Minburn on Saturday and the public is invited to watch the performances for a $3 suggested donation.
