The best season in recent memory for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls basketball team (15-9 overall; 9-5 RRC) wasn’t lost on the coaches of the Raccoon River Conference. First-year head coach Jacob Cleveland shared on the social media site Twitter Monday night; the ADM girls basketball team had four players receive all-conference awards recently from the league. Junior point guard Abbie Hlas was a unanimous selection for the first team squad, leading the Tigers with 351 points, 71 assists, and 71 steals in 24 games played. Junior forward Delaney Bertman found her name on the conference’s second team squad. Bertman was the Tigers top rebounder, securing 152 possessions for ADM. Bertman also ranked second on ADM with 288 points, 50 assists, and 34 steals. Senior Emma Jacobsen and sophomore AJ Smith received honorable mention honors from the Raccoon River Conference. The ADM girls basketball team ended their latest season Saturday in the Class 4A Region 8 semifinal against the Grinnell, 75-58. The Tigers finished with a 15-9 overall record, a six-win improvement from last winter. ADM graduates four players off this year’s program including Jacobsen, Kristen Baier, Anna Kenny, and Grace McCartney.
