7:53am: Robert Kovar 34 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine 2nd offense.
12:34pm: A deputy investigated a burglary in the 2100 block of 290th Street.
Wednesday, February 13th
1:00am: Jordan Simmonds 21 was booked into the jail on a Story County arrest warrant for Contempt of Court.
5:09am: A deputy investigated a car in the ditch on I Avenue and 180th Street. The car was no damaged and there was no driver.
7:18am: A deputy removed a deer from the roadway on 220th Street and J Avenue.
12:16pm: A deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 800 block of Lincoln Street, Scranton.
1:18pm: A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on U Avenue near 150th Street. Clint Flack 25 of Jefferson was driving a dot snow plow and the blade caught the railroad tracks causing the blade to break off and forcing the truck into the east ditch. The blade bent the railroad tracks causing that section of railroad to be shut down. The estimated damage to the truck was 5,000 dollars. The estimated damage to the railroad was around 2,000 dollars.
8:13pm: A deputy investigated a civil dispute in the 500 block of Main Street East Grand Junction.
Thursday, February 14th
1:33am Levi Shield 21 of Grand Junction was booked into the jail for operating while under the influence 1st offense, careless driving, and open container.
7:53am: A deputy assisted with a unruly child I the 1700 block of E Avenue.
8:12am: A deputy assisted a motorist on J Avenue near 290th Street.
9:37am: A deputy removed a dear from the roadway on D Avenue near 210th Street.
12:19pm: A deputy assisted with a vehicle in the ditch on 220th Street and T Avenue.
2:30pm: A deputies assisted with a semi jackknifed blocking one lane on Neola Avenue near 280th Street.
3:14pm: The Sheriff assisted with 4 vehicles in the ditch on 220th Street near T Avenue.
3:38pm: A deputy assisted with a vehicle in the ditch on Neola Avenue near 290th Street.
4:24pm: A deputy investigated a car in the ditch on U Avenue near 255th Street.
6:54pm: A deputy investigated a car in the ditch with damage on Neola Avenue and 330th Street. Kevin Litterer 52 of Lake View lost control and went into the ditch causing an estimated 1500 dollars damage to his 2018 Honda HRV.
8:35pm: A deputy investigated a civil dispute in the 200 block of West Paton Street, Paton.
Friday, February 15th
12:42am: Denise Beadle 41 of Jefferson was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.
5:06am: The Sheriff, deputies, Scranton Fire, Jefferson Fire, and Greene County EMS responded to a hog confinement fire in the 1900 block of I Avenue.
8:17am: A deputy assisted a motorist on 235th Street near Jordan Avenue.
9:08am: A deputy investigated an assault in the 1500 block of U Avenue.
9:11am: A deputy located an owner of dog that was found running at large.
11:00am: The Sheriff assisted with a unruly inmate.
1:03pm The Sheriff investigated a single vehicle accident on Neola Avenue near 270th Street. Robert Schroeder 51 of Scranton lost control of his 2005 Jeep Wrangler and went into the ditch. There was no damage to the vehicle.
3:16pm: A deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on A Avenue and 330th Street. Orrin Phelps 59 was driving a 1989 Peterbilt tractor and trailer and was stopped. Dylan Robson 26 was driving a 2019 Freightliner semi and trailer and rear ended the trailer causing around 500 dollars damage to the trailer and around 2000 dollars damage to his semi. Dylan was issued a citation for failure to stop in assured clear distance.
4:10pm: A deputy investigated a minor accident on 220th Street and Eaton Avenue. Colton Davis 17 of Jefferson was traveling east on 220th Street when a tire from another vehicle came off and hit his mirror. The accident was not reportable.
7:58pm: A deputy investigated an accident that occurred at Casey’s in Grand Junction. Both parties had left. They were given a form to fill out for the accident.
Saturday, February 16th
12:30am: A deputy investigated an alarm in the 1000 block of Sandoe Street, Grand Junction.
2:05am: A deputy assisted a motorist on Neola Avenue and 270th Street.
3:39am: A deputy assisted a motorist who lost control on the ice on U Avenue near 307th Street.
8:30am: A deputy investigated a suspicious person walking on 220th Street near Orchard Avenue.
6:02pm: A deputy investigated a dog bite at McMahon Access on I Avenue.
10:11pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious person walking on 150th Street just outside of Churdan.
Sunday, February 17th
12:40am: A deputy investigated a civil dispute at R Avenue and 120th Street.
4:45am: The Sheriff, Deputy, Paton Fire, Grand Junction Fire, Jefferson Fire, and Greene County EMS responded to a structure fire at 513 T Avenue. The trailer house was a complete loss. The fire is under investigation.
7:05am: A deputy removed an abandoned vehicle from the roadway on 220th Street near J Avenue.
7:43pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an arrest at the Wild Rose Casino. Jeremy Miller 27 of Carroll was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespass.
8:10pm: Jeremy Miller 27 of Carroll was booked into the jail for disorderly conduct and trespass.
8:56pm: A deputy assisted the Perry Police Department with locating a subject in the 2400 block of 337th Street.
11:12pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle a the car wash in Grand Junction.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
