The last season of high school wrestling came to an end over the weekend for West Central Valley senior Carson Wadle. Wadle closed his grappling career as the seventh place wrestler in the Class 1A 195 pound weight division in his first appearance at the annual Iowa State Wrestling tournament. Wadle’s started his run to the medal stand by tallying career win No. 100 against Audubon’s Luke Mosinski by second-period pinfall (3:14). He wrestled five total matches at Wells Fargo Arena, earning decision victories in the consolation second round against English Valley’s John Fisher (13-10) and the seventh-place event against Belle Plaines Ethan Allie (4-3). Wadle’s senior wrestling season ends with a 38-8 individual record.
