The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday.

The meeting began with the Council setting March 11th as the date for a public hearing on a cooperation agreement for the Guthrie County Regional Airport Authority and for the adoption of a tax levy ordinance for the airport. A hearing will also be held March 11th regarding the fiscal year 2020 budget. Next, the Council held a public hearing and then approved refinancing a loan of $1,060,000 for the City Hall project and two fire trucks that were purchased. The Council also approved a quote of $28,514.25 from Wigen Water Technologies for new membranes for the water treatment plant. The Council then directed Police Chief Matt Reising to proceed with purchase and financing for a new vehicle. Finally, a pay increase of 2.75% was approved for City employees, excluding some that will be changing job titles later this year.
