With President’s Day coming up on Monday, several offices and businesses will be closed in Jefferson.

County offices in the Greene County Courthouse, Jefferson City Hall, Greene County Extension office, Jefferson Public Library and the Jefferson Post Office will be closed in observance of the holiday. Civil court hearings and the Clerk of Court’s office will be open in the courthouse. Library staff reminds everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Jefferson city staff reminds property owners that due to the holiday, garbage routes will be delayed by one day. Garbage routes will return to normal schedules the following week. Residents are reminded to have their garbage at the curbside by 6am to ensure it is picked up.
