The Jefferson City Council met Tuesday night in regular session.

The Council approved the hiring incentives for new police officers and committee assignments for council members as presented, a quarterly funding request for Greene County Development Corporation, employing Micah Destival for his ten-month contract to the be golf course manager for a salary of $3,300 per month and hiring Websites to Impress (WTI) to build the City’s website for an initial cost of $4,930. Additionally, the Council approved a plat of survey for E. Krieger Land as presented and waived their right to review the plat of survey for Brandon Muir for a parcel of land on 235th Street.

The Council also approved $5,080 in additional cost to refurbish the bathhouse floor for the swimming pool. Finally, during the budget workshop, the proposed tax levy for the 2020 fiscal year was $14.81, which is a $0.02 decrease from the current fiscal year. No action was taken by the Council on any of the budget proposals following the workshop.
