Several kids from Guthrie County and the surrounding area have advanced to the Knights of Columbus Regional Free Throw Contest.

The Stuart Knights of Columbus held their district competition at West Central Valley High School last weekend. The girls who received first place included 9-year-old Zoey Reicks of Dexter, 10-year-old Morgan Crees of Panora, 11-year-old Jenna Doyle of Menlo, 12-year-old Tyme Boettcher of Panora, and 14-year-old Dakoda Overbeck of Redfield. The boys who received first place included 10-year-old Trey Boettcher of Panora, and 11-year-old Brayden Galvan of Panora. The local hoop shooters will compete next at the regional contest on March 3rd at Audubon High School. Those who place first at the regional contest will proceed to the state contest in Des Moines on March 30th.
