One Greene County non-profit organization recently used a grant in an effort to promote safety and give peace of mind to parents and guardians of young children.

The Greene County Early Learning Center received a Greene County Community Foundation grant of $25,360 to install new doors with keyless entry, iPads, a laptop, docking stations, other hardware and software packages to operate the system. Each classroom now has a keyless entry with a touchpad that is accessible by parents, guardians and employees to increase overall security.

Parents and guardians can also see what their child is doing everyday at the center from a smartphone or web accessible device with new software that’s been installed. Employees also insert each child’s daily activities by using an iPad in each classroom.

The Greene County Early Learning Center serves children from birth to fourth grade year-round in the Greene County area.
