The Raccoon River Conference season ends tonight away from home for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity basketball teams. The Boone Toreadors welcome the Tigers to town tonight to complete their two-game league season series. ADM split the initial twin bill with against Boone in Adel on January 11. Sophomore Grace Hardcastle dropped a career-high 15 points as the ADM’s girls’ basketball team topped Boone, 48-43. The Tigers swiped 10 steals against the Toreadors. Boone jumped out to a 22 point halftime lead in the boys’ contest, holding off ADM for a 59-52 victory. Junior Nate Conrad scored a team-best 13 points in the setback against the Toreadors. Both ADM basketball teams enter tonight’s final conference doubleheader with noticeably improved records from last season. The Tiger girls basketball team posts a 13-8 record, a four-win increase from last winter. The ADM boys basketball team sits with a 10-8 overall record, recording seven more wins than last winter with three regular-season contests to go.
