The Perry Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their 16th annual Chocolate Walk tomorrow from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., encouraging people to shop local just ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says there are 16 chocolate stops for this year’s event, and adds that if that sounds like less than there has been in the past, that’s by design. “We’ve kind of condensed the number of stops this year to really focus on retail businesses. So it’s really more about shopping and having that extra added piece with the chocolate. So you’re going into a lot of the new businesses here in town: the flower shop, clothing boutique, antique shop, things like that. So getting a reason to come in and check things out. You know, if you’ve got a ticket for the Chocolate Walk, maybe that’s why you’re going, but you get a chance to look around and see what’s new there.”

In addition to the chocolate stops, the Chamber is also bringing back the Winter Farmer’s Market for a second year, which will be held in the lobby at Hotel Pattee. Tickets for the Chocolate Walk are $6 each or two for $10, and can be purchased at any of the 16 stops, the Chamber office, Hotel Pattee, Perry Public Library, and Raccoon Valley Bank.
