The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met for a budget session Thursday.
The meeting began with discussion of the fiscal year 2020 budget for the Transfer Station with Director Jotham Arber and Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson. No major changes to the budget were presented. Next, the Board held a work session to discuss other budgets and the levy proposal from the Guthrie County Regional Airport Authority. The Supervisors mentioned that the Authority is requesting $55,700 over the next 15 years, totalling $835,500. This would cover costs for a new runway and other infrastructure needs. The County currently gives $20,000 annually to the airport. No formal action was taken during the work session.
Today, the Board is holding a special meeting to interview three candidates for the new Human Resources Director position. These final interviews are to be held in closed session, and then the Board is expected to choose a candidate in open session.
