Valentine’s Day is less than a week away and Main Street Guthrie Center is encouraging people to treat themselves and the ones they love at local businesses.

Several Guthrie Center businesses are having special deals and promotions leading up to February 14th, and three local restaurants are hosting special dinners Thursday evening. Main Street Guthrie Center Director Dana Buster shares the benefits of spending your money local this holiday season, “It’s cold outside and you don’t have to go and deal with the crowds for your shopping or wait for a reservation or try to get a reservation out of town and you can just kind of stay here local. I know Valentine’s Day does fall on a weeknight so a lot of us have to work in the morning, so it’s kind of nice that we have lots of places here locally that we can go out and celebrate.”
