The first leg of the postseason wrestling tournament sees five Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers grapplers advance to next week’s district tournament in Adel. The ADM Tigers varsity wrestlers competed in the Class 2A Section 1 tournament Saturday afternoon at North Polk High School against athletes from Ballard, North Polk, Saydel, Van Meter-Earlham, and Woodward-Granger. Seniors Andrew Flora (126) and Nolan Harsh (182) are onto their fourth straight district tournament after first-place finishes in Alleman. Advancing to next week’s Class 2A District 1 tournament with a second place finish include junior Broderick Schmidt (152), sophomore Justice Paulsen (195) and junior Kaden Sutton. The Class 2A District 1 tournament commences Saturday, February 9 at ADM High School in Adel.
