Timothy Robert WayA Dallas Center man is being held in the Black Hawk County jail after allegedly robbing a Waterloo bank earlier this month.

According to the Waterloo Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Wells Fargo Bank at 191 West 5th Street in Waterloo just after 2pm Wednesday, September 4th.  A bank teller reported that a white male entered the bank and gave her a note demanding money.  No weapon was shown and no injuries were reported.  The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers were able to found a man matching the description a few blocks from the bank.  31 year-old Timothy Robert Way was detained and taken into custody.  After the arrest, Way was taken to a Waterloo hospital for treatment unrelated to the robbery and arrest.

Way was released from the hospital Saturday and placed back into police custody.  He is charged with 2nd degree robbery and is currently being held on $50,000 bond.
