Thursday, January 24th
4:10am: Officers assisted EMS with a Medical call in the 1000 Block of West Washington Street.
9:43am: An officer checked the GCMC after dispatch received a 911 Hang Up from the facility. All was fine.
2:16pm: An officer removed debris from the roadway in the 700 Block of North Elm Street.
5:11pm: Cindy Rowland spoke with an officer concerning her daughter being bullied at the Greene County Middle School. Rowland does not feel the school is working to correct the issue.
5:46pm: An officer responded to a Business Alarm Activation at 300 American Drive. The officer was advised to disregard before his arrival and all was fine at the facility.
5:48pm: Brittany Olson spoke with an officer about unwanted contact from family members in Jefferson. Both sides of the issue agreed to end contact with the other.
7:33pm: A caller advised of wanting a Welfare Check on a dog left outside in the cold in the 300 Block of North West Street. The animal checked on the animal and determined it to have food, water, and adequate shelter.
Friday, January 25th
8:34am: Kenny Mooney reported receiving a message on his phone of a woman gasping for air and asking for help. The officer contacted the Carroll Police Department after researching the phone number. The Carroll Police Department made contact with the female in their city and learned she was fine.
10:44am: An officer checked on an Alarm Activation at 401 South Wilson Ave. The officer located a cleaning person inside and all was fine.
12:11pm: The Greene County Middle School requested an officer at 203 West Harrison Street after locating suspected marijuana in the school. The officer determined the substance was not marijuana and destroyed the substance.
1:43pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 500 Block of North Elm Street resulting in Melissa Smith of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
4:06pm: Kristina Greene of Jefferson has been cited for, “Driving While Suspended” after a report came to an officer that she was spotted driving to the casino at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer received still photos from the casino showing Greene drive into the lot, exit the vehicle and enter the Casino.
4:24pm: Tabitha Kendall requested officers at 401 North Wilson Avenue and advised she had been assaulted by her father. The officer determined an assault had not occurred and attempted to mediate the parties through the situation. Kendall left the residence for the evening.
4:57pm: A Greene County School District Bus Driver brought a School Bus Violation Form to the LEC for an officer to investigate. The violation had occurred at about 1550 hours, at Russell and Olive Streets. The officer’s investigation led to Colton John Davis of Jefferson being cited for, “Unlawful Passing of School Bus.”
7:54pm: Tiffany Burbank requested an officer at 307 East Gallop Road. She advised she was being harassed by a male juvenile while skating at the facility. The officer spoke to both youths and advised them both to leave the other alone.
8:10pm: Paul Russell reported an injured deer in the roadway on 220th street, just east of Sparky’s. The officer did not locate the reported animal.
Saturday, January 26th
11:48am: An officer took a report from Holiday RV at 1903 North Mulberry involving a check not being voided and cashed by a subject who had purchased a vehicle. The officer is investigating the event.
3:01pm: An officer checked the residence at 1405 Southfield Drive after dispatch received a 911 Hang Up from the address. The officer located a painting contractor in the residence, but all was fine.
Sunday, January 27th
12:56am: An officer was requested at 777 Wild Rose Lane for an intoxicated male, who had passed out on the gaming floor. The officer located the male’s co-workers and they took him up to his motel room for the remainder of the evening.
8:29am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 600 Block of South Chestnut Street.
8:34am: A caller advised of a Careless driver in a truck pulling a trailer with snowmobiles on Hwy. 4, heading south towards Jefferson. The caller advised the vehicle pulled into the casino at 777 Wild Rose Lane. Officers made contact with a male subject sitting in the vehicle. Brian Peterson of Knierim was cited for, “Driving While Suspended, and Fraudulent Use of Registration.”
1:22pm: An officer assisted an animal owner in the 600 Block of South Wilson Avenue in catching his dog, which had gotten loose from him.
3:24pm: A caller advised of a manhole cover sticking up in the intersection of Walnut and State Streets. The officer found the cover had broken in half and slight pressure would make it pop out. He placed a barricade over the manhole and notified the Public Works Department.
3:55pm: An officer located and placed loose blacktopping material back over a manhole cover at Washington and Elm Streets. The Public Works Department was notified of the issue.
7:40pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 400 Block of North Oak Street.
10:56pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop on a vehicle without a registration plate and dark windows in the 200 Block of West State Street. During a Consent Search of the vehicle, the officer located a large sum of cash. The officer also located a prescription medication bottle containing (3) pills in the passenger’s bag. The label had the name scratched off of it. The female passenger attempted to give the officer a fake name, date of birth, and Social Security Number. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Elisha Marie Mischke, 38 of Jefferson for,
“Interference with Official Acts – Simple, Providing False Information to an Officer – Simple, False Report of Indictable Offense to Public Entity – Serious, and Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drug – Serious.” Mischke also has outstanding Arrest Warrants from other counties.
Monday, January 28th
6:58am: William Pavlica spoke with an officer concerning a Child Custody Issue occurring in Jefferson with his child.
7:45am: Amber Revell reported a garbage can in the roadway near Elm and park Streets.
9:00am: Officers assisted a Greene County Conservation officer by dispatching an injured deer near 240th & J Ave.
1:20pm: Officers performed a Funeral Escort.
2:49pm: Thomas Spaulding advised his juvenile daughter had seen a male subject in a face mask walking past her bedroom window at 404 East Madison Street. He advised footprints are present in his yard. The officers determined the male was an Alliant Energy employee reading electric meters.
9:58pm: An officer assisted a motorist at 106 West Washington Street gain entry to her vehicle. Due to the cold weather, her key fob was not allowing the vehicle to unlock.
10:20pm: Lorrie Lawrence reported a dog running freely near Washington and Walnut Streets. While looking for the animal, the officer located the animal’s owner out looking for it. The animal was caught and sent home with the owner.
