Senior athletes took center stage Friday at ADM’s North Gym as the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity basketball teams resumed Raccoon River Conference play. The Tigers hosted Perry to close their two-game league season series as ADM Community Schools recognized winter sports senior athletes and cheerleaders. ADM came away with a pair of convincing victories. The four seniors on the Tigers girls basketball team (11-6 overall; 7-2 RRC) accounted for 31 total points in a 68-31 triumph over the Jayettes (1-15 overall; 0-9 RRC). Senior Kristen Baier poured in a team-high 14 points in the victory, improving ADM’s overall record to 11-6. Junior Molly Lutmer scored a game-high 17 points to lead Perry, which drops their overall record to 1-14.

The ADM boys basketball team (8-6 overall; 6-3 RRC) snapped a four-game overall losing streak with a 58-31 victory over Perry. All five Tiger senior athletes saw floor time, accounting for 23 total points. Koby Hardcastle accounted for a game-best 15 points, improving ADM’s overall record to 8-6. The junior duo of Mo Abdelnabi and Brendan Ivory scored 12 points each for Perry, keeping the Bluejays winless 14 games into the season. The ADM Tigers basketball teams resume their conference season Monday at home against the Winterset Huskies. The Perry varsity basketball squads return to the floor Tuesday night in Madison County also against the Winterset Huskies.
