A Guthrie Center woman is facing numerous assault and other charges for alleged incidents that have occurred since November.

According to court documents, 26-year-old Alicia Marie Beardsley was arrested for a November 3rd incident in which she was stopped by a Guthrie County Deputy for reckless driving, and marijuana was found in her car. The criminal complaint states that while in custody, she got angry and threw a phone, and held an ink pen up to the deputy making a stabbing motion. She was charged with two class D felonies for assault against a peace officer with display of a dangerous weapon and interference with official acts with a dangerous weapon, and two serious misdemeanors for possession of marijuana first offense and operating while under the influence first offense.

Another criminal complaint states on January 4th a Guthrie County Deputy was dispatched to Beardsley’s residence for an alleged stabbing. The deputy was advised that Beardsley had tried to stab her husband. The victim stated that during an argument that night Alicia grabbed a hunting knife and held the blade against his throat.

Court documents show that both individuals were taken to the Sheriff’s office for questioning. When Alicia was informed of her pending domestic assault charges she tried to stab herself in the stomach with a pen. She was eventually placed in a jail cell. While in the cell, she smeared a feminine hygiene product on the walls and flung it at a deputy while screaming she allegedly had Hepatitis C. Alicia was then charged with assault by inmate with bodily fluids or secretions, a class D felony; two aggravated misdemeanors for first degree harassment and domestic abuse assault with use of a dangerous weapon; and domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury or mental illness, a serious misdemeanor. Beardsley is in custody at the Guthrie County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
