There are a few deadlines coming up for Greene County 4-H’ers to be aware of.

Greene County Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Kayla Willms says a big deadline is next week for any high school 4-H’ers that want to apply for state-level honors. “If you are interested in a state recognition award as well as state 4-H scholarships, those are due February 1st. Contact me at the office if you would like more information. I’d be happy to help you get those filled out.”

Willms adds that February 1st is also the deadline date for market beef exhibitors to verify their beef weigh-in information on their online profiles. Anyone with questions can call the Extension office in Jefferson at 386-2138 or stop by during normal business hours.
