After having their Raccoon River Conference doubleheader against Winterset postponed twice this week, the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity basketball teams turn their attention to another league rival. The Perry Bluejay and Jayette varsity basketball teams are expected to fly into Adel tonight for a conference twin bill. ADM swept Perry in their initial meeting at the Perry Sports Pavillion on December 14. Junior Abbie Hlas scored a game-high 17 points as ADM girls basketball team topped the Jayettes, 64-24. Senior Koby Hardcastle also scored a game-high 17 points as the ADM boys basketball team beat the Bluejays, 63-10.

Both ADM basketball teams are looking to return to winning form at home tonight. The Tigers girls basketball team (10-6 overall; 6-2 RRC) has lost back-to-back contests, including a 47-32 setback against the Ballard Bombers in Huxley on January 17. The ADM boys basketball team (7-6 overall) has fallen in their last four regular-season games, including a 63-61 double-overtime setback at the Ballard Bombers last week. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will have live play by play coverage of tonight’s league doubleheader between ADM and Perry on True Country K 107.9. Pregame comments start around 5:30 p.m., the varsity girls game tips off at 6 p.m. with the boys’ contest to follow.
