(Update 2:50 p.m.) The regular season dual schedule for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity wrestling team came to an abrupt ending this afternoon. School officials at Van Meter High School chose to cancel tonight’s nonconference triangular event against ADM and PCM due to continued ongoing threats of winter weather. With very few dates left before next Saturday’s sectional tournament, the teams decided against trying to make up the event. Weather permitting, the ADM Tiger varsity wrestling team will compete in the annual Raccoon River Conference tournament this Saturday at Bondurant-Farrar High School.

(Old Story) One short road trip is all that’s left on the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity wrestling team’s regular season schedule. The Tiger grapplers will pay a visit to neighboring Van Meter High School tonight for a nonconference triangular event against the PCM Mustangs and the combined program of Van Meter/Earlham. ADM has competed in 17 dual events this winter, registering a 9-8 overall record. Tonight’s competition features 11 ranked wrestlers in the Predicament’s latest individual rankings. The publication considers PCM Class 2A’s No. 1 ranked dual team with six wrestlers individually listed in the top 10. ADM is the Predicament’s No. 7 ranked dual team in Class 2A with three individuals rated, while Van Meter/Earlham is the lone unranked squad with two rated grapplers. Tonight’s triangular event starts at 5:30 p.m. with the PCM/Van Meter-Earlham dual. ADM will grapple PCM in the evening’s second dual and will face Van Meter/Earlham to conclude the night.
