The Panorama School Board met in regular session Monday.

The meeting began with appointment of District Administrative Assistant Vanessa Phillips as Board Secretary, following the resignation of Business Manager and Board Secretary Dominique Bryant. The Board also approved a sharing agreement with the West Central Valley School District for Business Manager Symantha Crawford through June 30th. The Board also discussed coaching positions and Superintendent Shawn Holloway talked the needs the district has this coming spring, “We started soccer last year for our boys and girls programs. We had one head coach position and so we’re just trying to align with our other sports where we have head coach and assistant coach position and so the recommendation from our AD was to have an assistant coach for each soccer program.”

Holloway also mentioned Athletic Director Erin Kirtley would like to hire a second head coach for the boys and girls track and field teams. Board action on hiring for these positions is expected in February. Other items the Board approved included the early retirement program, the modified supplemental amount of $219,916 for dropout prevention and their comprehensive program plan, and an overnight trip request for the senior class to go to Chicago.
