Jefferson Parks and Recreation encourages kids and families to stop into the Greene County Community Center to pick up free tickets to next weekend’s Shriner Circus.
JPRD Director Vicky Lautner says they have a limited amount of free tickets for next Saturday’s Shriner Circus at the Jacobson Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds. The show starts at 2:30pm and free transportation will be provided with a Greene County School bus that will leave from the community center at 12:30pm. Lautner says if you pick up a free ticket, there’s one catch.
“They have to ride the bus. They can’t come in and just get free tickets and then drive down (themselves), they have to ride the bus. They have a shriner unload them (at the circus) and then same way with picking them up, they’ve got a shriner to help them back out of the building and right onto the bus, so it’s very simple.”
Lautner adds that the tickets are limited and are on a first come, first served basis. Stop by the community center to pick up the tickets.
