There’s snow on the ground in Perry, and possibly more in store, so here’s a reminder of the City’s snow ordinance.
Whenever there’s a half-inch or more of accumulation, the ordinance goes into effect. In that scenario, vehicles cannot be left on any public street, alley, or City-owned off-street parking area. The streets must also remain open until the snow has been removed and has stopped falling. Anyone found in violation of the snow ordinance will be cited by the Perry Police Department. Additionally, if there is enough snow during a particular event, the City could tow any vehicles off the street at the owner’s expense.
Anyone with questions is encouraged to reach out to Perry City Hall at 515-465-2481.
