A new service is now being offered at Adair County Memorial Hospital.
The hospital recently announced the opening of the Adair County Wound Clinic. It is an outpatient program that offers a comprehensive approach for patients with non-healing wounds. The clinic’s patients are examined by a multidisciplinary staff trained in wound care and evaluate patients for all possible physical conditions, such as diabetes, that could interfere with proper healing. The program determines why wounds are not healing, develops individualized treatment plans, and uses the most effective technologies to provide healing and relief. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. with appointments available beginning February 6th. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 641-814-1912.
