The Perry Public Library is inviting experienced and novice crafters alike to their next arts and crafts event, which will have a focus on meaningful letters.
Library Director Mary Murphy says they are hosting a program they’re calling “Initial Crafting,” where attendees will decorate an initial that has special significance to them. Murphy says they’ll have an assortment of things to make your decoration personal, but says the best designs will be planned ahead of time. “You should start thinking about how you want to craft yours. If it is for somebody who loves ballet, or trucks; I saw the cutest one made out of Legos. So it’s not just for the crafter, it’s for who the crafter wants to do it for. We’re only going to do one initial that night, but you can take the skill home or you can come for our Crafter Mondays and finish it!”
The event will be held on Monday, January 14th at 6:30 p.m., but attendees are asked to register by tomorrow so an initial can be ordered for you. You can still show up on the day of the event without registering, but you’ll need to bring your own initial to decorate instead.
