12:22am: The Wild Rose Casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane for an intoxicated male refusing to leave and fighting with employees. The officer arrived and learned the male had left in a vehicle and went east on 220th Street. The officer and a deputy located the vehicle at 606 Hwy. 30 East and spoke to the male driver inside the business. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Michael Allen Olson, 57 of Jefferson for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious, Public
Intoxication- Simple, and Disorderly Conduct – Simple.”
7:00am: An officer began a Sexual Abuse Investigation involving a child.
8:35am: Officers assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 200 Block of West Reed Street.
9:30am: Rose Norgart reported receiving a Facebook Scam Post. The post advised she had won $50,000.00 and needed to send $1000.00 for shipping to receive her prize. She did not send anything and did not incur a loss.
10:17am: Officers checked the residence at 508 Hickory Lane after dispatch received a 911 Hang Up Call from the residence. Two children were home and advised all was fine.
12:14pm: Makayla Semke reported a possible Intoxicated Driver on 220th Street heading east into Jefferson. The officer located the vehicle and spoke to the driver, who was not impaired.
1:04pm: Officers assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of North Elm Street.
1:16m: A Traffic Stop in the 800 Block of North Elm Street resulting in Lance Glendenning of Churdan being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
2:01pm: Lois Brant reported receiving the Publishers Clearinghouse Phone Scam Call. She did not incur a loss.
3:21pm: Home State Bank advised of a Counterfeit $100.00 Bill located in a business deposit at 115 West State Street. The information was forwarded to the US Secret Service.
7:30pm: An officer assisted a driver having mechanical issues with his vehicle near Mulberry and Central.
******* Arrest Warrants have been requested after testing is complete on items seized on a Traffic Stop on 12/01/2018. Steven Bret Wetzel, 49 of Churdan, has been charged with, “Possession of Methamphetamine – Serious.”
