The Polk County Medical Examiner’s office has confirmed the body recovered near the Saylorville Dam is that of 22 year-old Luis Cuadra of Perry.
The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers located the body near the dam Thursday evening. Cuadra was last seen Tuesday afternoon when he was on a pontoon boat near the Cherry Glen boat ramp with friends and jumped off but never surfaced.
According to the medical examiner, the official cause of death is a fresh water drowning.
