U.S. Representative Bruce Braley is making stops in the Raccoon River Valley area this week.

In an effort to introduce himself to Iowans as part of his Senate campaign, Representative Braley will hold meet and greet events in Greene and Dallas County.

This afternoon he’ll stop at Prairie Blue in Jefferson at 2pm and tomorrow he’ll chat with Dallas County residents at Patrick’s Restaurant in Adel at 11am.

Braley says he plans to discuss his work bringing people together to strengthen the middle class, stand up for veterans and create economic opportunity.

The Democratic representative from Waterloo has been a Congressman since 2007, announced earlier this year he plans to run for the Senate seat being vacated by retiring Senator Tom Harkin in 2014.

Both events are open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
