The Perry Historic Preservation Commission is again hosting their annual Violet Hill Cemetery Walk this fall.
The event salutes Perry’s educators and begins with Country school days. Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bob Wilson says it’s very neat event and everyone should check it out.
This year’s honorees are John Turner, Leonard Rossman, Judson Reimer, Celia Covey and Grace Freestone.
The 90 minute tour makes its way through the cemetery and transportation will be available for those who are unable to walk over the uneven terrain.
There’s no cost to attend, though a free will offering will be taken.
The event takes place Thursday, September 5th at 5:30pm and Saturday September 7th at 1pm.
