All Perry pet owners are invited to the dog park this weekend for a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic.

Road veterinarian Dr. Abby Strobbe is once again bringing her services to the Perry community Sunday.

She travels around Iowa providing veterinary care to pets in their home and at events like this, with the thought that animals are most comfortable in their own surroundings.  Dr. Strobbe says she went into veterinary medicine because she care about animals, not because she wanted to make a lot of money.  She says others helped her when she needed it and now she wants to “Pay it Forward”.

Dogs and cats over the four months old are eligible to take advantage of the $10 vaccination.  Dr. Strobbe says all services are provided on a walk-in basis.

All pet owners are encouraged to bring any available vet records to determine if your pet is allowed a one or three year certificate.  Pets must come either in a carrier or dogs can arrive on a leash.

Local dog groomer and trainer Sydney Klise will also be offering nail trims for $5 and you can get your pet microchipped for $15 as well.

It all takes place at the dog park from 11am-1pm Sunday.
