The town of Woodward’s annual summer celebration kicks off tomorrow night.  Friends n’ Neighbors Days is a two day event that includes several different events.

Tomorrow the festivities kick off with a beef burger dinner at the Christian Church.  Then at 6:30 it’s the kids parade and several events aimed at safety for children.

Police Chief Jerome  Hill says the bike rodeo is a great opportunity for kids to have fun and learn something at the same time.

“The kids will be taught about how to check their bike to make sure their tires are inflated and the brakes work” says Hill.  “We’ll also go through safety courses teaching them how to control their bikes because it’s very important to know how to control your bike when riding on the streets and the bike trails that we have.”

In addition, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office will also be there making identification cards for area children.

The service is completely free and only takes a few moments.
