The Forest Park Museum and Arboretum in Perry has a multitude of exhibits to view, and Dallas County Conservation is inviting the public to see them at a special time of day.
On Friday, December 28th from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Conservation will be hosting “Night at the Museum.” Outreach Coordinator Ken Keffer says the event will be fun for all ages, and will give attendees an up-close look at everything Forest Park has to offer. “It’s a great time to come out and see the experience after dark. We’re going to be playing the movie, ‘The Night at the Museum,’ we’re going to have some hands-on displays, all of the exhibits are going to be open. Look for some quilt-tying in the cabin area, you know it’s just going to be a great night. (Also the) popcorn machine will be out, so you know come and kind of settle in for an evening and experience all of Forest Park after hours!”
There is no cost to attend Night at the Museum, and registration is not required. Keffer also promises that the exhibits at Forest Park will not magically come to life, as they do in the film.
