As you’re doing your holiday shopping this weekend, the Panorama School District wants to remind residents to pick up a few items for community members in need during their third annual “12 Days of Giving.”
The Panorama Middle School Student Council is asking for various paper goods and hygiene products that will be given to the Panorama Food Pantry located at the high school. Student Council Advisor Krista Gafkjen shares why they host this drive, “We want to help people out, that’s really the main whole goal of all of this. And we wanted to come alongside the pantry and help them out in an area that we saw the need for because the food comes from the Food Bank of Iowa. And so then we decided, ‘Hey, let’s come alongside of them and provide the other things that might not necessarily be accessible.’”
The final day for community members to drop off donations at the high school is Tuesday, December 18th. These items will then be accessible for all residents at the pantry which is open the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 4-6 p.m. at the high school near the greenhouse.
