Dallas County residents who were adversely affected by the flooding and severe weather that occurred this past June can now apply for loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Governor Kim Reynolds announced that the SBA had granted her request to provide low-interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters, businesses, and most non-profit organizations located in eight central Iowa counties. Dallas residents and those in Boone, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Polk, Story, and Warren counties whose property was damaged or destroyed between June 6th and July 2nd qualify for the loans. Applications must be submitted in person at the SBA’s Disaster Loan Outreach Center, which is located at 2309 Euclid Avenue in Des Moines. Appointments are not necessary.

The program begins today and will run indefinitely, though the SBA reminds people their offices will be closed between December 22nd and January 3rd. To learn more, click the link below.
