The window is currently open for entities throughout Dallas County to submit grant requests for the Dallas County Foundation, and the organization is offering some help with the process.
On Wednesday, January 9th, the Foundation will offer a free workshop on grant application instructions and requirements. It will be held starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Adel Public Library, and online registration is required. A free lunch will be served for all attendees. The grants are open to nonprofit organizations and units of government, and are typically given for the purposes of health and human services, arts and culture, youth development, education, recreation and environment, and community betterment. The awards will range from $500 to $20,000 per grant, and the Foundation anticipates giving over $100,000 in 2019. Since being established in 2005, the Foundation has granted over $1 million to groups around Dallas County.
The deadline to submit grant requests is February 1, 2019, and applications can be mailed directly to the Dallas County Foundation. For more information or to register for the grant workshop, click the link below.
