The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.
Two of the items to be discussed involve projects spearheaded by the Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Chad Leonard will be on hand to explain the “Ride the Thin Blue Line” trail project adjacent to the law enforcement center, followed by a presentation on the School Emergency Alert Radio System (SEARS) program. The Board will then hold three public hearings, two of which will involve upcoming County projects. The first will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will involve awarding the bid for the courthouse renovation project. The second hearing will be at 10, focusing on bids for the Auditor’s Office parking lot project.
The third public hearing will be held at 10:30 a.m., during which the Board will hold the second and possibly third readings to re-codify the County Code of Ordinances. Other items on the agenda include: a resolution for an addendum to the County financial policy, section six; a proclamation of National School Choice Week; and a workshop on urban renewal and the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) area. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
