Monday, December 3rd
1:58am: While on patrol an officer located a male subject walking in the 200 Block of North Elm Street. The male was carrying a duffle bag. The officer stopped and identified the male and learned he was looking for a friend’s residence in town. The officer directed the male to the address.
4:05pm: Ben Allen reported receiving the “IRS Phone Scam Call.” Allen ended the call and did not incur a loss.
5:43pm: An officer covered a Car vs. Deer Accident on South Mulberry Street, just north of Graffiti Bridge. A 2006 Ford Escape, owned and operated by Jeff Sprague of Jefferson, struck the deer. The vehicle suffered a reported $2000.00 in front end damages.
6:20pm: Pat Gerhardt reported a snowmobile on the roadway in the 900 Block of West Washington Street. The officer did not locate the reported snowmobile.
6:45pm: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 907 West Lincoln Way Street.
6:45pm: William Dimig reported a Lost/Stolen Wallet. He believed he may have lost it at 205 West McKinley while shopping.
8:31pm: The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office passed information to a Jefferson officer about threats made against a Jefferson resident by her estranged husband. The officer could only pay extra attention to the residence as the female could not be contacted by the officer.
10:18pm: The Boone County Sheriff’s Office shared information with a Jefferson officer in connection to a male subject who may be coming to Jefferson. The subject is wanted in connection to a murder in Waukee. The officer was provided with a vehicle to attempt to locate in Jefferson. The vehicle was not located by the officer.
