Nearly 50 Greene County area farmers and crop producers will receive federal aid from the US Department of Agriculture following the retaliatory tariffs were put on the soybean and pork industries.
The Trump Administration authorized $12 billion in aid after China announced tariffs on soybeans and pork. Each of the six incorporated towns in Greene County are represented and will receive payment. The highest amount was over $66,000 to GM Hunter Ag Inc. for soybeans.
