The Greene County girls’ basketball team is 0-2 on the season and hopes to break into the win column tonight in Jewell vs. South Hamilton. First year head coach Tyler Westhoff has seen his team lose on Monday night in Jefferson to Ogden, 48-27, followed by a Tuesday night road loss in Perry, 44-29.

SH is 1-1 on the young season with a victory over Collins-Maxwell and a loss to South Central Calhoun (Lake City).

Coach Westhoff has seen his teams play relatively even with the first two opponents after slow starts in each of the first two contests. Ogden led the Rams 21-5 after the first quarter, and Perry held a lead of 18-3 at the end of period number one.

Tonight’s girl/boy doubleheader can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage begins at 5:45 p.m. with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow.
