Greene County began the Zach Beekman head coaching era by splitting a pair of dual wrestling meets against two West Central Activities Conference programs on Tuesday night in the middle school gym in Jefferson. The combined Van Meter/Earlham team won 51-18 over the Rams before Greene County ended the night with a 61-18 victory vs. Ogden.

The Rams had just three wins vs. VM/E’lam. Freshman Nathan Black at 145 lbs. and senior Clint Dennhardt at 182 lbs. both won by fall, and freshman Brenner Gallagher (106) collected a forfeit.

Against Ogden, the Rams received five forfeits to go with four falls, one major decision, and a regular decision. Winning by fall were Black, Dennhardt, Brenner Gallagher (113), and junior Will Hansen (152). Collecting forfeits were freshman Noble Hoyt (120), sophomore Joe Davis (132), junior Joel Ward (170). senior Joe Anderson (195) and junior Gage Michaelsen (220). Junior Braden Gallagher (106) won by 13-2 major decision, and junior Matt Naberhaus (285) was a 2-0 decision winner.
