One of the top performances for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity girls basketball team last night was sophomore AJ Smith. Smith spearheaded the Tigers defensive intensity last night, forcing a game-high four steals in ADM’s 41-33 victory Monday over the Norwalk Warriors. Smith stopped by the Fullers Petroleum Postgame Show last night and talked about her season-opening performance. “We came out with a huge amount of energy,” Smith said, “We all played loose and had fun.”
Smith’s night also featured seven points scored and five rebounds. Juniors Delaney Bertman and Abbie Hlas led the Tiger scoring output with 13 and 12 points scored respectively. The Tigers have a quick turnaround as they resume their early season schedule tonight on the road against the Van Meter Bulldogs.
