There are a couple of winter concerts coming up for the Greene County Middle School.
The 7th and 8th band and choir students are having their concert tonight at 7pm. During the concert, instrumental music teacher Bob Palmer said the 32-student, 7th grade band will perform “Bell Carol Rock” and “Junk Funk,” while the 15-student, 8th grade band will play three selections including: “Festive Fanfare,” “Celtic Air,” and “Sahara Adventure.” The 7th and 8th grade choirs will each sing two songs, along with a combined piece and an audience participation piece.
The 5th and 6th grade band and choir concert will take place on December 3rd also at 7pm. Palmer said the 5th grade band will perform “Hot Cross Buns,” “Merrily We Roll Along,” “Good King Wenceslas,” and “Up On a Housetop.” The 63-student, 6th grade band will play three songs including: “Midnight Mission,” “Dance Slav,” and “Jingle Bell Tones.” The 67-student, 5th grade choir will perform four songs, while the 6th grade choir will sing five selections.
Both concerts will be in the middle school gym and are free and open to the public.
