We’ve reached the week of Thanksgiving, which means there will be several closures around Dallas County.

In Perry, all City offices, the Water Works, and the McCreary Community Building will be closed both Thursday and Friday. Also, the Perry Public Library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and stay closed through Friday. All residential garbage routes scheduled for Thursday and Friday will be picked up Wednesday instead. In Adel, all City offices and the Public Library will be closed both the 22nd and 23rd for Thanksgiving. Garbage and yard waste services for the two days will each be delayed by a day.

Additionally, all Dallas County offices, including the courthouse, driver’s license station, and Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed both Thursday and Friday. Finally, all post offices and banking institutions in cities throughout the County will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving, but will each reopen on Friday unless otherwise specified.
