Multiple agencies are searching for an airplane that crashed near Guthrie County Friday evening.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, at about 6:06 p.m. dispatch received a distress call from a plane. Guthrie Center Fire Department and Panora Ambulance responded to the Guthrie County Airport, where the plane was not found. Adair and Guthrie County Sheriff’s Deputies, Stuart Police Department, and Iowa State Patrol are currently searching for the plane west and south of Guthrie Center. There is no confirmation on how many passengers are in the plane. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
