Middle linebacker Clayton Smith was a mainstay of a Greene County football defense that allowed just nine points per game during an 8-1 regular season. The Paton-Churdan High School senior will graduate in May, but there may still be the name Smith a middle linebacker for the Rams.
Freshman Braeden Smith saw some varsity playing time during the recently completed season. Not only is it uncommon for ninth graders to play varsity football for the Rams, but it’s even more rare at the linebacker position.
